From January 1, 2022, Jasmijn Melse will be the new Operational Director of Dioraphte.

In this role, she will succeed Henk van Stokkom, who will gradually retire. He remains active as a project advisor for the portfolios of social initiatives in Africa and – together with Mustapha Charifi – social initiatives in the Netherlands.

Jasmijn Melse has been actively involved in the philanthropy sector at home and abroad for over fifteen years. After studying international relations, Jasmijn served as an university lecturer of International Organizations and Emergency Relief at the University of Groningen. She then worked for the Adessium Foundation and from 2012 for ABN AMRO MeesPierson Philanthropy, most recently as Head of Philanthropy Advice. For the past two years she has been active as an independent philanthropy consultant. She is also a board member of several foundations. Jasmijn will manage the day-to-day operations at Dioraphte and be the link between the board, the project advisors and other stakeholders.

Fiona Buruma will also join the Dioraphte team, as Head of Finance and Administration. Fiona is an econometrician with over twenty years of experience in financial management, including more than ten years in the non-profit sector, most recently as Director of Finance and Operations at War Child and at The Global Center on Adaptation. Fiona will be responsible for project administration and financial matters.

Dioraphte’s office address will move from Dordrecht to Duinzigt in Oegstgeest on January 1, 2022.

Arnold Croiset van Uchelen, Chairman of the Board:

“We are very excited about the arrival of Jasmijn and Fiona, who will be taking over the leadership of the organization from Henk van Stokkom with extensive knowledge and passion. We are very grateful to Henk and the team for their work with our organization over many years, and pleased that Henk will continue to be involved with Dioraphte as a project advisor.”
